This pressure-free anchoring makes them ideal for fixtures that are close to edges in materials like reinforced and unreinforced concrete, solid masonry and rock. Chemical capsules are heat and light sensitive so they must be stored in a cool dark area.

How do chemical capsules work?
Chemical capsules are glass capsules containing an epoxy resin, hardener and aggregate. They’re designed to be used with a threaded rod or stud. The capsule is inserted into the hole, then the capsule is shattered with a chemical anchor to release the epoxy resin and the activator. Once the resin and activator are mixed and allowed to cure, a strong bond forms between the anchor and the concrete.
How do you use chemical capsules?
- Drill the hole to the correct size and depth.
- Remove debris from the hole using the pump and brush. Repeat this process four times (4x) at least.
- Insert the chemical capsule into the hole.
- Using the drill attachment, spin a chemical anchor stud into the capsule. Ensure the capsule contents are mixed completely.
- Allow the resin to cure.

How should chemical capsules be stored?
Chemical capsules should be stored in a light and temperature-controlled environment, preferably air-conditioned. Chemical capsules can be damaged by excessive heat and light, resulting in a resin that fails to harden and doesn’t set properly.
