Eye-shield anchors for heavy duty applications
Eye-shield anchors are heavy duty fixings used to anchor different materials in concrete, brick or stone. They work by creating a secure fixing via an easy-to-use mechanism whereby the bolt and the expansion shield expand against the base material. The close eye in these anchors means they’ typically used for cable hardware under tension or as a fixture for rope.
Eye-shield anchors from T&I Chalmers Engineering are easy to install, easy to remove, and can be custom made in a variety of lengths and sizes to suit your specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you use eye-shield anchors?
1. Drill the hole to the correct size and depth. If the hole is too big the anchor will spin in the hole and not grip.
2. Remove debris from the hole.
3. Push the shield anchor through the fixture and into the hole.
4. Tighten the bolt so the shield spreads apart and grips the sides of the hole.
How do you size eye-shield anchors?
Eye-shield anchors are sized by both their thread size and their bolt length. For example, if you wanted an eye-shield anchor with thread size of M10 and bolt length of 75mm, you would order a M10x75 eye-shield anchor.
What mass can eye-shield anchors hold?
Refer to the eye-shield anchor table for the recommended tension load.
