Wedge anchors for heavy duty applications
Wedge anchors are permanent heavy-duty anchors, with high pull-out values, designed specifically for use in solid concrete. They shouldn’t be used in brick or block, or in applications where the fixture may vibrate (machinery). They create a strong fixture for static loads and are easy to install with a hammer.
Wedge anchors from T&I Chalmers Engineering come in a variety of sizes and are quick and easy to install.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you use wedge anchors?
- Drill the hole to the correct size and depth. If the hole is too big the anchor will not set properly.
- Remove debris from the hole.
- Put the washer and nut onto the anchor to protect the thread end from damage when hammering.
- Push the wedge anchor through the fixture and into the hole.
- Hammer the top of the wedge anchor until it sets in the hole.
How do you size wedge anchors?
Wedge anchors are sized by both their thread size and their anchor length. For example, if you wanted a wedge anchor with thread size of M10 and anchor length of 115mm, you would order a M10x115 wedge anchor.
What is the pull-out load for wedge anchors?
Refer to the wedge anchor table for estimated pull out loads.
Can T&I Chalmers Engineering supply material certificates?
